Charles Blackburn

Charles Edwin Blackburn, 91, an eleven year resident of Kerrville passed away May 6, 2004 at a local hospital.Mr. Blackburn was born January 30, 1013 in Lavaca County, TX to Samuel Raymond and Zelma Leah Blackburn. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps in WWII. He was a self employed salesman, a member of the VFW, and member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Blackburn is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathryn Robertson in 2001, his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.He is survived by his wife Neva Blackburn son, James Blackburn and his wife Rosanne of Lavernia 2 grandsons, Brian Blackburn and Douglas Blackburn 3 granddaughters, Katrina Robertson, Kristi Grant, and Jodie Almond 3 great grandchildren, and brother, Raymond Blackburn of Houston.Graveside services with full military honors will be 2:00PM Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio with Jack Harrell officiating.
