Kerrville Charlene Skip Buechler of Kerrville, TX passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital, Kerrville, TX. Born on November 7, 1940 in San Angelo, TX, she was the daughter of Charlie Franklin and Fannie Jean Tucker McKee.Skip was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to her family that loved her dearly. She was an artist and a lover of animals. Skip belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, and was also the first Lady Elk installed in the Kerrville Elks Lodge.Preceding her in death were her parents.She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Karl F. Buechler of Kerrville, TX a daughter, Debra Ann Smith and husband Steve of Flatonia a son, Charles Ray Buechler of San Diego, CA one grandson, James Adam Smith and wife Emily Sue Ann of Kerrville, TX one great grandson, Cutter Koi Smith of Kerrville, TX numerous brothers, sisters, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors. Open visitation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, Friday, February 29, 2008. Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Bowman of First United Methodist Church officiating. In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Mrs. Buechler to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital,332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the charity of ones choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home, 830 8955111.
