Celso De Leon, 67, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Kerrville, Texas. Born April 6, 1945, in Hondo, Texas, he was the son of Jesus De Leon and Refugia Gonzales De Leon. He was the oldest of 7 children born to his parents.

Celso joined the Navy on July 30, 1962. In June 1966, while on leave from the Navy, he attended a Christmas dance where he meet Raquel Cortez. In April of 1969 they were married. In 1970, his first child was born and the family moved to Kerrville where Celso went to work at Mooney Aircraft and later worked at various auto parts supply stores. Celso volunteered at many fundraisers at Notre Dame Catholic Church where his children went to school as well as many organizations such as the Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge.

Celso is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Refugia De Leon and brother, Rosalio De Leon Chalio and wife, Raquel De Leon.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughter, Nelida A. Sanchez and husband David J. Sanchez, Jr son, Michael De Leon sisters, Cista Hernandez and Jose of Graham, TX, Julia De Leon Rosas of Chicago, Ill, Martina De Leon and Roger Guedea of Hondo, TX, Maria Eneduna De Leon of Hondo, TX brother, Xavier
Havy De Leon and Dora of Hondo, TX 4 grandchildren, Jaun N. Limon, Jr., David Joshua Sanchez, Jr., Jacob Michael Sanchez and Julissa Lissettie Sanchez 1 greatgranddaughter, Ava Grace Limon all from Kerrville, TX.

A ation will be held in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, Monday, October 22, 2012 from 6 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 9:30 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville, TX.
