Mountain Home Caryl Anne Schenk Lambert, 82, of Mountain Home, passed from this life surrounded by her loving family, at her home on May 29, 2011.
Born in Rochester, NY on August 19, 1928, she was the daughter of Julius and Irene H. Ross Schenk. She was a cheerleader at East Rochester, NY High School, where she graduated from and in 1946, was crowned Harvest Queen. Caryl was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
In 1948, she married her solemate, Harry quotBudquot Lambert, a union that lasted 63 years and produced 4 daughters.
She had lived in Tucson AZ for many years, prior to that, living in DallasFt Worth, TX from 1950s to 1970.
After her family had grown, she joined her husband on his motorcycle, traveling the country together on long bike trips with fellow enthusiasts. When given the opportunity to travel the world due to her husbands job, she gladly accepted, and lived for a time in Japan and Mexico.
A loving and nurturing mother, she raised 4 daughters in the Dallas area, and volunteered in their school and afterschool activities. She promoted reading, arts and crafts, sewing and various sports to encourage her daughters to develop their skills.
Social and outgoing, Caryl loved music, dance and parties. She worked annually in the German exhibit at the Texas State Fair in Dallas. She was always to lend a helping hand to family and friends and volunteered as a Candy Striper at a local hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her beloved Harry quotBudquot Lambert her daughters, Michelle Broksas of Aurora, CO, Patricia quotPatquot Seebaldt of Milford, MI, Judith Keller of Fair Oaks, TX and Robin Sanders of Mountain Home, TX 7 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren her brother, John quotJackquot Schenk of W. Bloomfield, MI her sister, Jill Schenk Gorsuch of Fairport, NY and many nieces and nephews.
According to Caryls wishes, there will be no funeral services, but in her memory, enjoy life to its fullest.
The family suggests that donations in her name be made to the Alzheimers Association, Peterson Hospice or the American Red Cross.
