KERRVILLE Carol Sue Stewart, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Friday, October 26th, 2012 in Peterson Regional Medical Center of a sudden heart attack at the age of 51.
She was born April 20, 1961 to Robert Johnson and Theo Ann Kennedy Johnson in Kerrville, TX. Carol was a quotMiracle Babyquot and spent much of her early life in and out of hospitals. She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy in her teens. Carol attended Tivy High School and Austin State School. She had two sons, Mark Will Howell, by her first marriage.
Carol married James Stewart, May 21, 1997. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. Carol enjoyed the simple things in life, talking on the phone and sitting on her front patio swing, with Jim, watching the cars go by. Carol loved babies and she loved her animals. She raised many different pets over the years, she once nursed an orphaned baby squirrel to adulthood, then returning it back to the wild, which was very sad for her. Carol enjoyed going to the river fishing with family. She collected stuffed animals and animated toys, clocks and miniature houses. Many of her neighbors will remember her riding through town, to and from the corner store, on her scooter with her dog, PeeWee on board.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Susie Johnson.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, caregiver and soulmate, Jim Stewart her father, Bob Johnson her children Mark Howell, Will Howell, Jaime Stewart Pasley grandchildren, Andrew, Adin, Gavin, Zorina, Alisha Stewart grandchildren, Jayden and Jakalene, Melissa Stewart grandchild, Sophia, Anthony Clay her two sisters and their spouses, Ann and John Johndrow, Tammy and Dan Waters her nieces Elizabeth Gutierrez great nieces Carlee and Brittini, Melissa Trammell great nephews, Christian and Hunter nephews Robert Turley great nephew, Gunnar, Derrick Turley and many friends whom she thought of as family.
ation will be from 8:30 10 AM, on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Kerrville Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in the Main Chapel, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX., with Janet Hunter officiating.
