Carol Faye Gibbs

Carol Faye (Zorn) Gibbs, age 87, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Kerrville, TX. Carol was born on August 6, 1936 in Bottineau, ND to August and Jean Zorn. At six weeks old, she was baptized at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Gardena, ND. Her parents moved several times and finally settled in Spokane, WA. Carol was confirmed at Pilgrim Lutheran Church on January 6, 1952. Carol then married Ervin William Gibbs on September 4, 1954.

During her married years, Carol moved several times throughout the Mid-West as her husband worked for Boeing on the Minuteman Missile Program. At her time of death, Carol moved 36 times in her lifetime.

Family that have preceded her in death are her parents, six brothers and sisters, her son, Gary Ervin Gibbs and her great-granddaughter, Haidin Nicole Land.

She is survived by her husband, Ervin Gibbs and three daughters, Joan Land, Susan Koehnen and Diana Spezman. Carol was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Hosanna Lutheran Church with Rev. Dan Mueller officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Macabee Cemetery in Sprague, Washington.
