BRIAN MICHAEL COURTNEYBrian Courtney, a former resident of Anacortes, Wa, died at home in Kerrville, TX on Feb.23rd, 2004, at the age of 65. He was born in Houston, Tx on June 27th, 1938 to parents Amick and Grace Courtney and moved to Anacortes in 1955. He returned to Texas in 1998.Brian played on the 1956 Anacortes Seahawks basketball team, coached by the legendary Bill Taylor, which took second place in the Class A state tournament.He led a productive life, but had been battling various ailments for many years but remained in good spirits and always had a smile on his face. He will forever be missed.Brian left behind a son, Glen, Auburn WA, a daughter, Karin, Seattle, a sister and brotherinlaw, Sharon Ray Crump and family, Rusk, TX, a brother and sisterinlaw Trent Judy Courtney and family, Little Elm, TX and exwife Carina, Sweden.
