Bobby Joe Lackey, 68, lifelong resident of Kerrville, Texas, entered into rest April 7, 2005 at a local care facility.Mr. Lackey was born February 24, 1937 in Kerrville, to Granville and Josephine Lackey. He attended Kerrville schools, and graduated from Tivy High School. He retired from Kerrville Independent School District where he worked maintenance at Tivy High School. He liked to fish and ride motorcycles. While he was able he was a faithful church member at Ranchero Road Baptist Church. He loved to read his Bible, and always carried it with him. His family was very important to him and he loved to spend time with them. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lela Mae Tendly.He is survived by two brothers, Skip Lackey and wife Johnny Mae of Iraan, TX, and Jimmy Lackey and wife Elena of Kerrville three sisters, Leola Ray of Cibolo, TX, Margie Taylor of Bandera, and Edna Sutton and husband Sherman of Bandera and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Saturday, April 9, 2005 at West Prong Cemetery in Medina with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating.Memorials may be made to the Ranchero Road Baptist Church.
