KERRVILLE Blaine F. Mattison of Kerrville, TX went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2012. He was born in Pennsylvania on January 21, 1932 to Marion Arlene Mattison.
Blaine known as Matt to family and friends was a loving husband, beloved father, and friend to many. He proudly served his country during the Korean War, and afterwards, he married Joan Stabel Mattison. They had four children Blaine, Ann, Scott and Colleen.
The family resided in New York where he ran a well respected water well drilling business. In 1977, the family moved to Texas, aka the promised land, settling in San Angelo where he worked for 11 years for Schlumberger Well Services. After retirement, Matt and Joan traveled for 13 years in their RV doing volunteer work with MMAP Mobile Missionary Assistance Program at Christian Ministries across the country. In the fall of 2001, they settled in Kerrville for a slower pace of retirement. Blaine enjoyed being with his family and friends, snowmobiling, motorcycling, camping with his family and driving back country winding roads.
