Birdene Fitton

Kerrville Birdene Holtz Woodard Fitton, born December 18, 1907 at Chester, Nebraska, went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2003 in Kerrville, Texas.Birdene attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Music. She taught school in Dorchester, Nebraska where she met Harry O. Woodard. They were married in June 1935 and had two surviving children, Beverly A. Bond of Kerrville, Texas and James F. Woodard of Irving, Texas. Following Harrys death in November 1966 she married Robert O. Fitton of Omaha, Nebraska in April 1969. Stepchildren by marriage to Robert and surviving are Beverly Nickel of Logan, Utah, Robert Fitton, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska and Cherill Ashby of Roy, Utah. 18 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren survive her.Graveside services will be held at a later date at Forest Memorial Lawn Park, 7909 Mormon Bridge Road, Omaha, Nebraska.Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
