Billy Rouse

Bronte Billy Thomas quotCoachquot Rouse, 76, of Blackwell, passed from this life at a local health care facility on Monday, July 19, 2010.

Born in Sulphur Springs, TX on June 3, 1934, he was the son of R.T Rouse and Lurine Williams.

Coach was a graduate of East TX State, now TX AMCommerce, and he embarked upon a life in education. Through his coaching and teaching, he touched many lives and set ion for years to come for students in his path.

Coach lived at Oak Creek Lake, Blackwell, TX after retirement, where he was affectionately known as the Mayor of the neighborhood.

He will be greatly missed by many friends and neighbors, and their children, who grew up under his watch.

He is predeceased by his parents and by his son, Rusty Rouse.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his former wife, Jo Ann Rouse of Weatherford, TX and many friends and former students from his years of teaching.

There will be no visitation of services at this time.
