Billy Newman

Kerrville Billy Gene Newman, 71, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on Saturday, August 6, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Newman was born on November 15, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to James Edgar and Mary Estelle Newman.Mr. Newman attended Oklahoma State University, earning his M.S. in Industrial Education. While in Oklahoma City, he married his loving wife of 53 years, Shareece. Mr. Newman taught school for several years and then moved his family to San Antonio in 1967. He and his wife owned and operated their business, Auto Cool Company in San Antonio before selling it in 1998, after which they both retired in the Hill Country. Mr. Newman is survived by his wife Shareece Newman son Ed Newman and wife Karen daughters Vickie Fernandez and husband Al, and Tammie Newman brother James Newman sister Betty Jo Miller, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors. A Private Family Service was held at 2 PM, Sunday, August 7, 2005 at Kerrville Funeral Home, with members of Kerrville Masonic Lodge 697 conducting Masonic Services.Bills friendly nature and his love for his family will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the Kerrville VA Hospital staff and Vista Care Hospice for their help, support and loving care. In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimers Association.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
