KERRVILLE Billy Lee Hardy, of Ingram, TX passed peacefully with family and friends surrounding him on Sunday, March 16, 2013 at a local hospital. He was born in Comanche, TX on December 14, 1926 to Ezra Jackson and Katie Lee Sanderson Hardy.

Growing up in the Ballenger, TX area, he married the love of his life, Irene Taylor Hardy on June 8, 1958 in Yuma, AZ. They enjoyed 49 years of sharing their life together, raising their family. Billy was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many, who will all miss him dearly. He was very proud of his service to his country by serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict, having served in both the U S Navy and the U S Air Force.

Preceding him were his parents, and wife, Irene Hardy.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his children, Leia Hardy Zinbra, Billy Dean Hardy and Linda Arlene Hoffman sisters, Elenor Shoemaker, and Jeanie Farenthold 11 grandchildren 15 greatgrandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life for him will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at New Heights Church, 874 Harper Road, Ste. 108, Kerrville, TX at 5:30 PM, with a visitation from 3 5 PM at the church. He will be laid to rest at Nichols Cemetery following the service.
