Kerrville Billie Jean Spencer Biddy, 80, went to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.
Born in Guthrie, Texas on April 19, 1929, she was the daughter of Jasper Franklin Spencer and Mabel Anna Bernard.
Billie lived in Guthrie, Texas where she attended school and moved to Paducah, Texas where she graduated from high school in 1945. She also attended Texas Tech University then returned to Paducah where she met and married her beloved Maurice Elvin Biddy, on September 3, 1949. She was a supervisor for the Economic Developmental Cooperation in Paducah and four surrounding counties in the Texas Panhandle. She and her husband, Maurice, would later relocate to Fort Worth, Texas and then to San Angelo, Texas. After both had retired, they moved to Kerrville to be close to her sister, Joyce Spencer Sandlin and family.
Billie had belonged to several organizations, enjoyed her Christian faith , and her hobbies such as playing the piano, writing songs, and poetry. She loved family gatherings, traveling, dancing, singing, and visiting with friends. She found happiness in helping and serving others.
She is predeceased by her parents, and her only sibling, Joyce Spencer Sandlin.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Maurice Elvin Biddy of sixty years Her nephew, William T. Sandlin Nancy of Victoria, TX. niece, Stacy A. Sandlin of Odessa, TX. nephew, Ted S. Sandlin Lisa of Junction, TX. niece Carole J. Johnston Richard of Kerrville, TX. She was also blessed with five great nephews and two great nieces.
The family will have a private memorial service to honor their beloved wife and aunt.
The family suggest that donations in her name to be sent to Peterson Hospice, who took excellent care of her, and The American Heart Foundation.
