KERRVILLE Beverly Smith Rome was born on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, WA, 1931. She was 82 years old when she succumbed to a long illness with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension on February 19, 2014. She was treated at Peterson Regional Memorial Center in Kerrville, Texas. She lived with her husband in the Kerrville, Texas area the last 15 years after a 5 year adventure of FullTime RVing.

By her request, no visitation, nor funeral is scheduled.

Beverly attended John Hay Grade School and is a Queen Anne High School graduate of 1949. Beverly was a Bill Adjuster and worked in Customer Relations for the Bon Marche Allied Stores from 1949 until 1986.

She is the daughter of Verne F. Smith of Seattle, WA, and Alice R. Weers of Mukulteo, WA. Her father passed away in 1956 and her mother passed away in 1986 in Seattle, WA.

She is survived by her husband, I. A. Tony Rome who resides in Ingram, Texas, a suburb of Kerrville, Texas. She is also survived by a sister, Barbara S. Borylla, and a niece, Nancy E. Phillips, both living in Edmonds, WA.

Beverly met her husband, Tony Rome, while he was 5 years into a US Army career. He was stationed with the Alaska Communication System ACS and they were married in 1952 at the Bethany Presbyterian Church on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. Tony completed his career of 25 years in 1970. They lived in the SeattleBothell area until 1995. They then traveled the USA in a 5th Wheeler, full time, ending up in Ingram, Texas the last 15 years. This is the Texas Hill Country.

No services will be held at this time.
