Betty Thompson

Betty Jane Thompson, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, October 9, 2013.

She was born to the late Roy Duke and Mabel Reeves in Brookfield, Illinois on October 7, 1922. She grew up in Houston, Texas and married Sonny Aubrey Dean Thompson on June 9, 1961. They resided in Killeen, Texas for 43 years before relocating to Ingram, Texas 8 years ago. For 32 years, she proudly worked as a beautician helping others look their . She was much loved and will be missed by all who knew her for her care and concern for others and beautiful smile. From always being there with a casserole when someone was in need, to playing card games with friends, to creating and cooking for special family holidays, to attending outtings and potlucks, to discussing politics, she thrived on people and enjoying life.

She loved her family deeply and unconditionally and is survived by her loving husband, Sonny Thompson her son and daughterinlaw, Jerry and Sarah Puckett of Boerne, her daughter and soninlaw Dianne and Charles Keaton of Marble Falls 4 grandchildren, Teri Puckett Wilson and husband Matt of Boerne, Scott Puckett of Boerne, Ryan Keaton and wife Laura of Colorado Springs and Kelly Keaton VanCleave and husband Rob of Dallas and 4 greatgrandchildren, Aubri and Brady Wilson and James and Tommy Puckett as well as her much loved dachshund, Duchess.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital in Memphis, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, October 13th, at 2:00 pm at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, 135 Methodist Encampment Road, Kerrville, TX, with reception immediately following at the church.
