Betty Lee Johnson Taylor of Kerrville, Texas passed away Saturday September 23, 2017. She was the daughter of Dave and Edna Lee Johnson. She was born June 5, 1938 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Betty grew up in Henderson, Texas. On January 30, 1960, she married her lifelong love and partner Bryan Wade Taylor. They went together for 8 years before marrying and they were hand-in-hand for 57 years. This partnership produced two children, Dana their daughter, born in 1961 and Wade born in 1962. Betty graduated from North Texas University with a degree in education. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. During their early marriage Bryan was in the USAF and they made their home in many places like Big Spring, Texas, Tampa, Florida and Valdosta, Georgia. In 1966, they moved to Overland Park, Kansas. After Bryan was hired by Trans World Airline in 1994, they moved to Kerrville and lived at Tierra Linda Ranch. Betty loved animals of all types. She supported many different organizations that took care of abused and abandoned ''Kids''. She was loved by all and will be sorely missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ethyl Seba.
She is survived by her husband Bryan; daughter, Dana; son, Wade, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday September 28, 2017 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy. Kerrville, TX.
Funeral Service will take place 10 AM on Friday September 29, 2017 in the main chapel at Kerrville Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating.
Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Monday October 2, 2017 at 9:45 AM.
