Betty James

Kerrville Betty G. Brunson James, 77, of Kerrville, Texas entered into rest on June 6, 2005 at a local care facility. Mrs. James was born February 16, 1928 in Tipton, Oklahoma to George and Lillie Brunson, the youngest of 13 children. She married Glen Leon Shorty James on January 15, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1978. Betty loved music and was self taught on the fiddle and harmonica. She also loved cats and had a large collection of cat memorabilia. She spent her life caring for others, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.She is survived by her brother and sisterinlaw, James and Ruth Brunson of Lockney, Texas sister, Wanda Jordan of Kerrville many nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends and neighbors.Graveside Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at the Quitaque Cemetery in Quitaque, Texas with Roland McClain, Minister of the Lockney Church of Christ officiating.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
