Betty Hardy

Kerrville Betty Vaught Hardy was born October 18, 1931 and passed away peacefully at her home in Kerrville, Texas on May 20, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Betty and her sister, Shirley grew up in California and Oklahoma and attended college at Texas Womens University in Denton, Texas. She married Robert Hardy and had two children. Betty later pursued her graduate studies and earned her doctorate in early childhood education at the University of North Texas in 1975. She taught in college and the public school system for over thirty years before retiring. Betty was a gifted person endowed with boundless creativity. She was an accomplished springboard diver, artist designer and always took the road less traveled with great tenacity. Perhaps her biggest accomplishment was being a great mother to her children, Mike and Elisa.Memorial services will be held Sunday May 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Church in Kerrville with a reception to follow.
