Bernice Timian

Ingram, Texas Bernice Timian, 90, of Ingram, Texas passed away peacefully on February 13, 2007 at her residence.Mrs. Timiam was born September 1, 1916 in Platte Center, Nebraska to parents, Arthur and Wilamia Minnie Durkop Grossnicklaus. She attended schools in Platte Center and Columbus, Nebraska. The family moved to Corvallis, Oregon during World War II, where she worked as a bookkeeper. She married Joel H. Timian at Zion Lutheran Church in Corvallis, Oregon on December 9, 1950. She was a long time active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Corvallis where she served as a Sunday school teacher, Assistant Sunday school Superintendent, member of Zions Ladies Aid, the Lutheran Womens Missionary League, and secretary of the Lutheran Laymens League. Mrs. Timian was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Kerrville, Texas.She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Joel H. Timian brothers, Armond Grossnicklaus, Elmer Grossnicklaus, Arthur Mike Grossnicklaus, Eugene Grossnicklaus, Milton Grossnicklaus, and Lloyd Grossnicklaus and sisters, Mrs. Lucille Benorden, Mrs. Sylvia Bokelmar, Mrs. Esther Peggy Rupprecht.She is survived by her daughter, Mary Reichenau and husband Jerry of Ingram, Texas grandchildren, Mrs. Lisa Lewellyn, Mrs. Michelle Allen, Michael Reichenau, and Sherrie Reichenau, and numerous nieces and nephews.Family visitation will be held from 6 8 PM, Thursday, February, 15, 2007 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, February 16, 2007, Hosanna Lutheran Church, 134 Camp Meeting Road, Kerrville, Texas 78028 with Pastor Todd Dittloff officiating. Funeral Services in Corvallis, Oregon will be at 11 AM, Saturday, February 17, 2007, Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor James Rehley officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests memorials be made to Christ the King Christian Academy, 600 Yorktown Blvd., Kerrville, Texas 78028.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
