Berniece Pickering, 92, of Kerrville, TX entered into rest January 27, 2004 at a local care facility.Mrs. Pickering was born November 4, 1911 to Edgar and Rose Roediger in Junction City, Kansas. She married Paul Thomas Pickering on March 1, 1932 in Fort Riley, Kansas. They lived in Junction City for many years where she was a school bus and taxi driver. She and her husband enjoyed fishing together at Milford Lake. She was a resident of Ingram for 12 years and spent the last 4 years at Hilltop Village. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Paul Pickering, a sister, Hazel Day, and a brother Harvey Roediger.She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Miears and husband Charles of Ingram, and Barbara Johnson of La Paz, Indiana three granddaughters, Michele Fisher of Hunt, Kim Lemmond of Cedar Park, and Karla Johnson of Plymouth, Indiana three grandsons, Eddie Miears of Ingram, Chris Johnson of Florida, and Scot Johnson of Plymouth, Indiana and eight greatgrandchildren.A visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:006:00PM at the Kerrville Funeral Home. She and her husbands remains will be scattered together as requested in a private family service at a later date.
