Benito Vela

KERRVILLE - Benito C. Vela, 55, of Kerrville, TX, passed from this life on October 29, 2015 at his residence in Kerrville, TX. He was born to Guadalupe and Antonia Camarillo Vela on February 24, 1960 in Palacios, TX.

Benny was a person who all loved to be around. He knew how to make people laugh and he just enjoyed his life. He married Esther Obiedo on April 23, 2012, and they enjoyed each other's company immensely. Benny worked in many areas of construction including concrete.

He was a loving father, husband, son, brother and uncle. Benny loved spending time with his family and friends, along with his special baby, his beloved dog, Chico. Those who knew him will miss him dearly.

Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Paula Diaz.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Vela; parents, Guadalupe and Antonia Vela; son, Benny Vela, Jr. and wife Andrea and their three children, son, Daniel Vela and his two children, daughter, Amy Casillas and her child, daughter, Deanna Vela and her three children, daughter, Nana Saenz and her child, son, Jason Obiedo and his five children; sisters, Anna Vela, Sandra Hernandez, Debra Silva, Brenda Ortegon, Barbara Vela, Belinda Valero; brothers, Lupe Vela, Jr., Tony Vela, Richard Vela, and Robert Vela; numerous nieces and nephews, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

A time of reflection, visitation, and a prayer service will begin at 6 PM, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. Funeral Services will begin at 10 AM, in the sanctuary of Impact Christian Fellowship, 2031 Goat Creek Road, Kerrville, TX 78028 with Tony Vela, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Kerrville, TX.

The family would like to thank Peterson Regional Medical Center, Kerrville and University Hospital, San Antonio for all of the care they gave our dear Benny. Also thank you to all of the friends and family for the never ending support.
