Ben Cordell, Jr.

Ben Early Cordell. Jr., 92, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on October 6, 2017 at local care facility. Ben was born on March 3, 1925 in Hampton, Virginia to Ben Early & Reaba Antonette (Myers) Cordell.

He attended the Texas A&M University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with the class of 1947. He was a Professional Engineer for over 50 years, primarily in Texas and some surrounding states.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Nancy M. Cordell, of Kerrville, Texas; son, Jerry Bennett (and wife, Kathleen Kirk) Cordell of Houston, Texas; grandson, Justin Ross Cordell of Houston, Texas; sister, Barbara Cordell (and husband, Ron) Jones of San Antonio, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Richard Malm officiating. Interment will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. James Young and the staff of Peterson Hospice for their guidance, care, and compassion to Ben during this journey, and a most sincere thank you to the staff at Brookdale, Kerrville, Texas for their gentle understanding and care.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations may be made to Peterson Hospice, 1121 Broadway, Kerrville, Texas 78028, or to a charity of one's choice.
