Barbara was a cancer survivor. Family, friends and a deep religious faith allowed her to keep spreading her beautiful smile and love for over ten years after being diagnosed in January 2004, with ovarian cancer. In addition to her family, Barbaras passions in life were traveling by RV, golf and animal rights.

Barbara is survived by her husband of over 50 years, James Scott, two sisters: Patricia Shrader and husband, Robert of Glendale, CA, Kim Sweat and husband, Gerald of High Springs, FL, two daughters: Dawn Scott Knauss and husband, Martie of Austin, TX, Tracy Scott Howard and husband, Flint of Meeker, OK, two grandchildren: Madelyn and Jackson Knauss of Austin, TX, two nephews: Justin Sweat and wife, Tasha and children, Allyson and Evan, Jason Sweat and wife, Amanda and children, Logan and Riley. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of life services will be conducted privately by family members and her ashes taken to the Davis Mountains of West Texas, one of her favorite RV destinations in all of the U.S.A. She would appreciate remembrances expressed in the form of a donation to a favorite animal advocacy organization.
