Kerrville Barbara Ann Husbands Evans, 76, of Hunt, TX went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 8, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born in San Antonio, TX at NIX hospital July 17, 1935.

Barbara was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School. She was the beloved wife of James E. Evans, having celebrated 53 years of marriage on July 31, 2011. She spent most of her life in Houston, TX, although, as a wife and mother, she traveled and lived from coast to coast here in the US and also traveled and lived overseas. She had been a resident of Hunt, TX for the past 16 years, but when asked where she was from, shed call herself a quotHoustonian.quot Barbara was a member of the Hunt United Methodist Church, as well as the Order of Eastern Star in Carpenteria, CA.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her husband, James E. Evans of Hunt, TX their two children, Les Evans of Ocala, FL. and LaDonna Evans Riley of San Antonio, TX motherinlaw to Scott E. Riley of San Antonio, TX grandmother of two, Morgan Riley and Evan Riley both of San Antonio, TX the youngest of 4 children, she is survived by her eldest brother, Robert Husbands of Port St. Richey, FL, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kathleen C. Cailloux Humane Society, 2900 Junction Highway, Ingram, Texas 78025, or the charity of ones choice.
