Averlyne Ries

Kerrville Averlyn Ries, 84, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on Monday August 1, 2007 at a local hospital. Mrs. Ries was born January 30, 1923 in Supulpa, Oklahoma. She attended Texas Tech University where she earned her Masters Degree in History and Anthropology by the age of 21. She went on to teach school in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and an Indian School in Colorado. She and her husband Homer Ries were married on November 20, 1946 in Clovis, New Mexico. Mrs. Ries is survived by her husband Homer her son and daughterinlaw, Kyler and Cindy Ries son, Todd Ries two granddaughters, Amber Ries and Kylene Ries greatgranddaughter, Georgia Mae Sacher, along with a host of many loving friends and neighborsA Memorial Service will be held for Mrs. Ries at 1 PM, Sunday, August 5, 2007 in the River View Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with the Rev. Kathryn Morton officiating.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
