Ascension Paiz

Kerrville Ascension Ace Paiz, 85, passed from this life at a local health care facility on Wednesday August 8, 2007.Mr Paiz was born in Leon Springs, TX on August 15, 1921 to Andres and Refugia Arredondo Paiz and lived in Comfort, TX many years. He served in the US Army from 19421946.Mr Paiz was a nursing assistant at the VA Hospital in Kerrville, TX for almost 35 years. After his retirement, he served as the primary caregiver for Donn Moses for 12 years. He was a parishioner of Notre Dame Church in Kerrville, TX and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the German Club, Fredericksburg Club, Harpers Club and enjoyed dancing at each club.He is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Helen Paiz of Kerrville, TX his sons, Ascension Pat Paiz and his wife, Marie of Seguin, TX,and John Paiz and his wife Nita of Comfort, TX his daughters, Isabell Lemond and her husband Dale of Kerrville, TX and Marti Brandenburg and her husband, Gary of Kerrville, TX 8 grandchildren his brothers, John Paiz of Comfort, TX and Alex Paiz of Conroe, TX his sisters, Hilda London of San Antonio, TX, Frances Rosas of San Antonio, TX and Mercy Guerrero of Fort Worth, TX many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Lorenzo Paiz and Willy Paiz.
