Asa Schram

Kerrville Asa Monroe Schram, 76, of Kerrville, Texas who was born on January 3, 1929 in Montgomery, AL to Joseph and Beatrice Schram passed from this life peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2006 at a local hospital after a lengthy illness.Mr. Schram was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He retired from IBM in Austin, TX in 1986 and moved to the heart of the Hill Country to have better access to the outdoors that he so loved.He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one sister, Joann Chamberlain of Flint, MI one son, Rev. Joe Schram of Austin, TX one daughter, Sherry Michaels of Scottsdale, AZ granddaughters, Lindsay Olivarez and husband Jason of Tempe, AZ and Kristen Michaels of Scottsdale, AZ grandsons, Jacob Schram and wife Brenda of San Antonio, TX and Billy Joe Burch of Austin, TX one greatgranddaughter and a host of many loving friends and neighbors.A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Schram officiating.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests memorials be made to the Humane Society of your choice.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
