Arturo Vasquez

Arturo Gonzales Vasquez, 76, of Kerrville, Texas entered into rest June 30, 2006 at his residence.Mr. Vasquez was born August 29, 1929 to Jose and Agapita Vasquez in Copeland, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Army from 19511956 during the Korean War. He married Connie Lopez Vasquez on April 2, 1958 in Mexico. In 1982, they moved to Kerrville from San Antonio. He was always a supportive husband, especially while his wife was working for her accounting degree, and remained comprehensive and helpful through all. He was a wonderful husband and father and an all around nice man. Arturo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of the United Church of God in San Antonio for over 29 years.He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Inez Salazar.He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Connie Vasquez son, Clark Vasquez of Kerrville sister, Elena Soto of San Antonio and brother, Fred Vasquez and wife Gela of San Antonio.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel.
