A.C. Pete Clarke, Jr., 75, of Ingram, Texas entered into rest on November 14, 2006 at a hospital in San Antonio.Pete was born on November 20, 1930 in Harlingen, Texas to Arthur Clarke Sr. and Frances Holmes Clarke. He moved to the Hill Country and has been a resident here for over 20 years. As a boy, his childhood experience with the YMCA Camp Flaming Arrow made a lifetime impression. Because of this, his retirement years were devoted to living and working at the camp. Pete enjoyed doing a great many of other things, and had a grand love of life and family. Given his great sense of humor and many interests, there was never a dull moment when he was around. He gave unconditional love and support was never judgmental and was very generous to all around him. We were very blessed to be a part of his world.He is survived by his wife, Melissa Melton Clarke daughters, Debbie Boyd and husband Jack of Waco, and Kim Saxon of Pflugerville stepson, Kevin Kearney of Hunt, Texas and grandchildren, Wayman Jones, Brendan Twomey, Rian Twomey, Gaven Saxon, Amanda Selman, Jordan Kearney, and greatgrandchild Ashton Taylor.Services to celebrate the life of Pete Clarke will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the charity of ones choice.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
