Arthur Black, 75, of Hunt, Texas died February 13, 2013 in Kerrville, Texas from Alzheimers disease.
Art was born September 1, 1937 in Olean, New York to Gilbert and Marion Black who predecease him. He spent 50 years in the gas compression industry working for DresserClark, Ingersoll Rand and ended his career at Compressor Engineering Corporation in Houston, TX serving as Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing. Arts interests included boating, rafting, kayaking, hunting, fishing, gardening, photography and remodeling several homes over the years. Art was also an avid car racing enthusiast.
Art is survived by his wife, Jeannette of Hunt, Texas, sons, Christopher Michelle of San Diego, California, Daniel Vitzah of Katy, Texas, and Douglas Alesia of Houston, Texas four grandsons, Austin and Christopher of Katy, Texas, and Andrew and Corey of San Diego, California two brothers, James Beverly Black of Olean, New York, and Miles Lynn Black of Mt. Lake Terrace, Washington brotherinlaw, David Smith of Canandaigua, New York and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Marion Black, his brother, David Black and his sister, Isabelle Black Smith.
