Arlo Jensen

Kerrville, TX Arlo J. Jensen, 79, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on Monday evening, February 18, 2008.Born in Ida Grove, Iowa on January 26, 1929, he was the son of Rudolph and Ella Johansen Jensen. Commander Jensen served in the US Navy for 30 years, retiring in June of 1976.He received his Engineering degree from the University of Colorado, Denver and then proceeded to obtain his Masters from Hofstra University, Long Island, NY.In Kerrville, he was a member of the Hosanna Lutheran Church where he was former treasurer.He is predeceased by his parents and 2 brothers, Ross and Ray.Family members include his wife, Louann Weddington Jensen of Kerrville his son, Michael ShallyJensen of Amherst, MA his 2 daughters, Cynthia Louise Carver of Erie, CO and Carol Ann Stoner of Durango, CO 5 grandchildren a sister, Lavonne Meisner of Ida Grove, IA, and several nieces and nephews.There is no visitation.Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, February 22, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Hosanna Lutheran Church, Kerrville. Interment will be at Ft Sam National Cemetery.The family asks that flowers be omitted and monetary donations be made in his name to the Parkinsons Foundation.
