Ann Raiford Lloyd, 96, of Kerrville, Texas passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 19, 2005 after a brief illness. Mrs. Lloyd was born August 8, 1909 in Harper, Texas to James and Nancy Raiford. She grew up in the Hill Country, and had been a resident in Kerrville for 25 years. She married Bob Lloyd on October 23, 1929 in San Angelo, Texas. She was a wonderful Christian woman, and loved being an active member at Trinity Baptist Church. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Prime Time Singers, played an active role in her Sunday School Class, and loved to play 42. She was a very independent and active woman, and cared for herself completely until a week ago. She loved to cook, and shared her talent with family and friends. The last of eleven children, she was a pillar member of her large family, and held them together. She was a very generous and giving person, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lloyd in 1978 brothers, Lloyd Raiford, Aubrey Raiford, Gordon Raiford, Buster Raiford sisters, Olive Hardwick, Alta Lambeth, Ola Lambeth, Mildred Leinweber, and Virginia Craig.She is survived by nieces and nephews, Jack Hardwick and wife, Mary Lois Virginia Davis Bill Hardwick and wife, Zora Lee Joel Craig and special friend, Annie Mosty Gene Raiford and wife, Grace Lanny Leinweber and wife, Marilyn Margie Graham Melba Bane and husband, Marshall and Marvel Walcott and husband, Charlie and numerous greatnieces and nephews, and many friends.
