KERRVILLE Ann Elizabeth Hammack, 93, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life at a local care center on Friday, December 6, 2013. Born in Hartford, Alabama on July 12, 1920, she was the daughter of Clarence and Mary Ruby Jones Palmer.

Ann married the love of her life, Leon Hammack on May 15, 1941 in Bonifay, Florida. Being a Kerrville resident since 1943, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Kerrville. She was the former owner of Inn of the Hills Beauty Salon and the House of Castilian. Ann had many hobbies which included her memberships in the Porcelain Art Club and the Texas Cosmetology Association. She had also retired from the J C Penny Company and was well known for her time spent volunteering at Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital.

Passing before her are her parents her beloved husband, Leon Hammack and brothers, Ralph Palmer and James Palmer.

Those left to honor and cherish Anns memories are her son, Jerry Hammack of Kerrville, Texas granddaughter, Emily Butler and husband Jeremy of San Antonio, Texas grandson, David Hammack of Kerrville, Texas greatgrandson, Brayden Milton Hammack of Harper, Texas sister, Carolyn Palmer of Slocomb, Alabama, along with a host of many friends, neighbors, and her church family who will miss her dearly.

A time of visitation and reflection will be held from 6 8 PM, Monday, December 9, 2013 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028. A Celebration of Anns Life will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Ligon, Kerrville Funeral Home Chaplain, officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 3250 Fredericksburg Road, Kerrville, Texas 78028.

In Anns memory, the family has asked that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, 625 Washington Street, Kerrville, Texas 78028.
