KERRVILLE Alvin Rodney Smith, 62, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his residence. Rod was born June 3, 1951 in Monahans, Texas to parents, Alton Roland and Hazel Moore Smith.

He attended Luling High School, and then attended Howard Payne University, Brownwood, Texas and Schreiner College, Kerrville, Texas. Rod was married to the love of his life, Royanne Meadows Smith on August 2, 1975 in Kerrville, Texas. He owned and operated Greenway Lawncare Service in Kerrville.

Rod is preceded in death by his father, Alton Roland Smith.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Royanne Smith of Kerrville, Texas daughter, Tarah and son inlaw Andrew Bosserman of Kerrville, Texas son, Joshua Smith of Anchorage, Alaska four grandchildren, Anthony Calder, Landon Calder, Cameron Calder all of Kerrville, Texas, and Mizzy Smith of Taft, California mother, Hazel Moore Smith of Luling, Texas brother, Wayne Smith of Luling, Texas sister, Janie Garza of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the River of Life Worship Center, Luling, Texas.
