Junction Albert CB Andrews, 87, of Junction, passed from this life at his home on Wednesday morning, August 11, 2010.
Born in Junction on June 5, 1923, he was the son of James and Mallie Adams Andrews. He was a lifelong resident of Junction.
He served in the US Army.
On December 23, 1950, he married Leta Blaylock in Junction during a triple wedding, in which his wifes sister and her cousin also married that day. Of that day, CBs future motherinlaw stated, The house is already decorated and I wont do this again.
CB was a member for over 50 years and a deacon of the Church of Christ in Junction.
CB was a well known trapper in Texas and throughout the country, spending the last years doing what he loved. He was awarded many awards for trapping, was the recipient of the first Trapping Award given by Texas AM, and the first given by the Texas Livestock Association, for trapping. He spent 7 years in Ft. Stockton trapping Mountain Lions. When asked by the Federal Government to travel to Africa and Russia to teach trapping, CB refused, to stay with his wife.
He is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Stella Mae Jackson.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Leta Andrews of Junction his son, Raymond Glenn Andrews of Junction his two daughters, Gloria Lynne Heimann of Woodsboro, TX and Mollie Diana Andrews of Brazoria, TX 9 grandchildren, 1 greatgrandson two sisters, Texas Rose Nixon of Junction and Bonnie Nell Bishop of Junction, and many nieces and nephews.
ation will be held at the Church of Christ, Junction on Thursday evening, August 12, 2010 from 68 PM.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ, Junction on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 9:30 AM. Committal services will follow in the family lot at Long Mountain Cemetery, Streeter, TX.
The family suggests that donations in his name be made to VistaCare Hospice or the hospice of your choice.
