Kerrville Adolph Len Leonhardt passed on Sunday, July 27 at his home in Kerrville. Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Marie and Gottfried Leonhardt, Len was one of ten children. He was educated in Sheboygan and Kohler, Wisconsin and later took courses atNortheastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. His education had beeninterrupted by WWII while he served in the Army in the South Pacific and Australia. He and his wife moved to Ingram in 1990 when he retired from the Business Officeat North Lake College in Dallas, Texas. Finding retirement boring, he beganworking at Ingram Elementary as an aide in the Content Mastery Classroom. Heretired from that position in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Arlene, his son and daughterinlaw, Keithand Dee Leonhardt of Canon City Colorado, his daughter and soninlaw, Kathy andJerry Fletcher of Kerrville, three grandsons: Dustin and Adam Leonhardt ofWoodland Park, Colorado, and Patrick Rice of Kerrville. He also has two remaining sisters and a brotherinlaw: Mrs. Ella Zimmerman of Sheboygan and Marie and Henry Pfister of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, numerous nieces and nephews, and almostsister Barbara Miller of Ingram. Lens life revolved around his church work at First Church of Christ, Scientist in Kerrville, his children, and his music. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the and Faculty Scholarship Committee at Ingram High School. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, July 30, from 57:00 p.m. at his daughters home at 324 Wood Trail in Kerrville.
